Transferring domains from Bluehost to Porkbun

In 2013, I bought my first domain (alfredlua.com) on Bluehost, together with three years of WordPress hosting. Even after I stopped using WordPress and started buying domains on Namecheap for years, I left alfredlua.com on Bluehost.

It was probably because everything seemed fine and I didn’t want to change and risk any issues (which is likely because I have never transferred a domain before and didn’t know what it involved).

But after having good experiences with Porkbun, I moved alfredlua.com over and realized the process is straightforward and I can potentially save $10 every year. I’m finally off Bluehost. Goodbye!
